| Berlin People, a Berlin-based jazz ensemble founded in 2018. Saxophonist Tobias Meinhart brought together three of his long-time German peers (pianist Ludwig Hornung, bassist Tom Berkmann, and drummer Mathias Ruppnig) for recordings with the American jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel. Their core sound is based on experimental improvisation, combining the American jazz tradition and the European approach. Each band member brings in their personal experiences to explore different sonic rivers. | |||||
