| Spanish jazz singer and trumpeter Andrea Motis has been playing the trumpet and saxophone since her early childhood. After six albums in collaboration with bassist Joan Chamorro, Motis released her first solo album 'Emotional Dance' on Impulse! Records in 2017. In this concert from Jazz Club Moods in Zurich, Switzerland, Motis is accompanied by Joan Chamorro (bass), Josep Traver (guitar), Ignasi Terraza (piano), and Esteve Pi (drums). She demonstrates her mesmerising trumpet style and her inimitable vocals in no less than three languages: English, Catalan, and Portuguese. | |||||

| The French big band `Le Sacre du Tympan' was founded by bassist and composer Fred Pallem. Pallem's oeuvre is strongly influenced by the music of as diverse a range of composers as André Popp, Charles Ives, Duke Ellington and Neil Young. The wide variety of his musical sources of inspiration can be found in the progressive jazz music played by the big band. A large part of this 17-man band studied at the jazz department of the Paris Conservatory. | |||||
