    Mindful Escapes: Breathe, Release, Restore

How does connecting with the images and sounds of the natural world help us gain a greater sense of ease, perspective and connection? This first episode is about breathing. By immersing ourselves in images of jellyfish floating, elephants swimming and lemurs swinging through the rainforest, we learn to focus on our breathing and are reminded that we are not separate from the world around us. What is the relationship between each breath and mindfulness, and why is breathing so important.

    Mindful Escapes: Breathe, Release, Restore

Join mindfulness expert Andy Puddicombe as he focuses on change and what we can learn from how animals adapt to changes in the world around them. Why is a chameleon's ability to alter its appearance crucial to its survival and what lessons are there from understanding how elephants grieve? Learning to be mindful can help us cope with life's stresses, and Andy shows how focusing on the sights and sounds of the natural world can help us deal with change in our lives.

    Mindful Escapes: Breathe, Release, Restore

Mindfulness is the ability to be present with a clear, calm, curious mind. And feelings of joy can be triggered when this happens. Mindfulness expert Andy Puddicombe takes us on a global journey with imagery that will bring feelings of happiness and wellbeing to the viewer.

    The Blue Planet

Although 70 per cent of the planet is covered by water, the oceans and many of their inhabitants, such as the blue whale, remain an unexplored mystery. Travelling to the very depths of the seas reveals a spectacular variety of life, from alien monsters of the deep to pack-hunting killer whales attacking a grey whale calf.

    11/19/2022 7:50 am

    The Blue Planet

David Attenborough journeys into the abyss to explore the strange creatures that live there. From terrifying fish with massive teeth that eat prey twice their size, to weird jellyfish that flash in the darkness.

    11/19/2022 8:40 am

    The Blue Planet

A look at the predatory skills of some of the most charismatic hunters found on the planet: whales, dolphins, tuna, shark and rapier-nosed billfish. The open ocean is unimaginably immense, it covers more than 360 million square kilometres of the Earth's surface. Much of this huge expanse of seawater is marine desert with virtually no sign of life.

    The Blue Planet

In the Arctic the polar bear is the top predator, catching seals on the ice and forcing seabirds to nest high up on cliffs. In Antarctica the penguins have no ground-based predators to deal with but lurking in the water is a constant threat.

    11/19/2022 10:20 am

    The Blue Planet

An exploration of the seasonal changes in the richest waters on Earth, where the annual cycle of the sun drives an explosion of life. Featuring an extraordinary variety of marine animals, including seals, dolphins and the bizarre walking handfish.

    11/19/2022 11:10 am

    The Blue Planet

The fragile ecosystems that have grown around the worlds coral reefs. The reefs take hundreds of years to develop and are adorned with spectacularly colourful life. However, this is not always an idyllic tropical paradise: one big storm can threaten the entire community.

    The Blue Planet

All over the world tides create opportunities for marine life. Giant stingrays glide on currents for a rest, the fastest snail of all surfs waves in pursuit of dinner, crabs play football on the beach, and dolphins play a game of catch.

    11/19/2022 12:45 pm

    The Blue Planet

David Attenborough explains how animals from in and around the sea manage to make use of the constantly changing areas where land meets water. Spectacular mass turtle egg-layings, which take place in the same location over just a few days each year, and killer whales hunting seal pups are among the unforgettable visual highlights.

    Blue Planet II

Using cutting-edge technology, go on a journey from the intense heat of the tropics to the planet's frozen poles to reveal new worlds and extraordinary animal behaviours. The journey starts in the tropical coral reefs, the most diverse ocean habitat.

    11/19/2022 2:35 pm

    Blue Planet II

The deep is perhaps the most hostile environment on earth, a world of crushing pressure, brutal cold and utter darkness. Exploration has barely begun, and yet it is the largest living space on the planet. Scientists already think that there is more life in the deep than anywhere else on earth.

    11/19/2022 3:35 pm

    Blue Planet II

Corals build themselves homes of limestone in the warm, clear, shallow seas of the tropics. Their reefs occupy less than one tenth of one per cent of the ocean floor, yet they are home to a quarter of all known marine species.

    11/19/2022 4:30 pm

    Blue Planet II

The big blue is the world's greatest wilderness, far from shore and many kilometres deep. It's a vast marine desert where there is little to eat and nowhere to hide. Yet it's home to some of the biggest and most spectacular creatures on earth.

    Frozen Planet II

Mountains create frozen habitats on every continent on Earth, and each of these high-altitude worlds holds unique challenges for its surprising and remarkable life. The journey begins close to the equator, the furthest point from the poles, in East Africa. Here on the high slopes of Mount Kenya, during the day the tropical sun keeps the cold at bay, but at night the frost descends.

Raksha looks at Seti's tomb, which shows how low quality and hurried Tutankhamun's was in comparison. John learns how to dance like an Egyptian at a funeral, and investigates the truth of the `Curse of Tutankhamun'.

    Our Changing Planet

Steve Backshall, Chris Packham and Ella Al-Shamahi visit the Maldives, Iceland and Cambodia. Steve Backshall travels to the Maldives, an area facing significant challenges because of climate change.
