For decades, one man, the Calabrian prosecutor Nicola Gratteri, has risked his life fighting them and is now overseeing the country's biggest anti-mafia trial since the 1980s. The BBC's Mark Lowen has been to meet him and some of those caught in the grip of the 'Ndrangheta mobsters.

The BBC's Asia Hub has gained rare access inside one of their missions, in the Himalayas, to explore what is driving the change. As Kevin Kim reports, encouraging someone to convert to another religion is illegal in Nepal and some are concerned that the missionaries are eroding Nepal's traditions and ancient culture.
