Popa Chubby: It's A Mighty Hard Road |

| Popa Chubby, born as Ted Horowitz, is an American blues singer and guitarist, who has become one of the most popular figures of New York's blues scene. Early on in his career he released the album 'Booty and the Beast' (1995), which became one of the 1990s's best-selling blues albums. Chubby describes his own style as The Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson. As part of the French music festival Blues sur Seine, Chubby and his band played a great blues rock concert, showcasing the artist's powerful and soulful guitar playing. This performance was recorded at Théâtre Simone Signoret on November 8, 2019. | |||||

| Brazilian singer-songwriter Maria do Céu Whitaker Poças, better known as Céu, grew up in a musical family. She studied music theory and plays the acoustic guitar known as the 'violão'. Her debut album, CéU, received a Grammy nomination in the category 'Best Contemporary World Music Album' in 2008. In the years that followed, Céu received several other nominations and awards. Her music reveals traces of samba, soul, African music, pop, and electrojazz. In this 2017 concert, Céu is accompanied by David Bovée (guitar), João Leão (keyboard), Lucas Martins (bass), and Thomas Harres (drums). This performance was recorded at Jazz Club Moods in Zurich, Switzerland. | |||||

| Huu Bac left Vietnam for Quebec at the age of two. This musician was first interested in jazz guitar, then in dan bau, an old monochord musical instrument, central to the folk music of Vietnam. Huu Bac's curiosity about ancient instruments led him to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he studied erhu, a traditional Chinese string instrument.
