	Lars Vogt is the soloist in a performance of Ludwig van Beethoven's `Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 15'. The Orchestre de Paris is conducted by Herbert Blomstedt and recorded at the Salle Pleyel, Paris in 2013. Beethoven composed the work in 1795. Although it is listed as his first concerto, it was written multiple years after his `Piano Concerto No. 2'. The first piano concert was published in 1801 and has assimilates the styles of Beethoven's predecessors Mozart and Haydn.

With cantatas, opera fragments and instrumental work by this outstanding melodist, the Belgian ensemble Capriola di Gioia paints a portrait of this enterprising Neapolitan.

	Anton Bruckner's Symphony No 9 can be seen as a farewell to life. Even as Bruckner began working on it in 1887, his health had begun to fail. He expressed the hope that God would grant him enough time to complete it, and worked on it assiduously over the next years. However, by late 1894 he had completed only the first three movements. When he died on 11 October 1896, he left six different versions of the finale, all of them incomplete.

	The Malandain Ballet Biarritz performs the ballet Cinderella ('Cendrillon') Op. 87, composed by Sergei Prokofiev to a scenario by Nikolai Volkov and in a choreography by Thierry Malandain. The Orchestre Symphonie d' Euskadi is led by Caballé-Domenech. Cinderella is one of Prokofief's most popular and melodious compositions. It was composed during World War II, but Prokofiev broke off the writing to compose his opera War and Peace.
