| Brazilian singer-songwriter Maria do Céu Whitaker Poças, better known as Céu, grew up in a musical family. She studied music theory and plays the acoustic guitar known as the 'violão'. Her debut album, CéU, received a Grammy nomination in the category 'Best Contemporary World Music Album' in 2008. In the years that followed, Céu received several other nominations and awards. Her music reveals traces of samba, soul, African music, pop, and electrojazz. In this 2017 concert, Céu is accompanied by David Bovée (guitar), João Leão (keyboard), Lucas Martins (bass), and Thomas Harres (drums). This performance was recorded at Jazz Club Moods in Zurich, Switzerland. | |||||
