    Mozart

    W. A. Mozart composed his Piano Concerto in D Major, KV. 537 in Vienna in February 1788. This concerto was later nicknamed Coronation because Mozart played it in October 1790 when Leopold II was crowned Holy Roman Emperor in Frankfurt am Main.

    Janáček - Glagolitic Mass

    Mariss Jansons conducts the chorus and instrumental ensemble of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Leoš Janáček's Glagolitic Mass at the Lucerne Easter Festival of 2012. Known chiefly for his cinema soundtracks and his lifelong relationship with iconic directors such as Federico Fellini, Francis Ford Coppola and Luchino Visconti, Rota was a musical `enfant prodige' who composed sacred music as well as operas from a very young age.
