	To date, the VENDÉE GLOBE is the only sailing race round the world, solo, non-stop and without assistance. The event followed in the wake of the Golden Globe which had initiated the first circumnavigation of this type via the three capes (Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn) in 1968. It is called by the public the Everest of the seas, this 9th edition will see 33 contenders depart from Les Sables-d' Olonne to take part in this extraordinary race.

	In this episode we will visit the old town and the palace of the grand master, before we refresh ourselves in the Kallithea Springs, and discover why Rhodes is considered as the sailing Mecca of the Dodecanese. We'll take a trip to the beautiful Stegna beach to dive in the crystal blue waters, before venturing out on paddle board, to experience the unique and ever-growing practice of SUP Yoga. Finally, we'll visit Panagia Tsambika, a hilltop monastery considered by some to be miracle-working.

	We will visit the historic and picturesque Mandraki Harbour before exploring the natural attractions of Butterfly Valley and Seven Springs. Rhodes is often known as the paradise island for windsurfers, so we will not miss the chance to see how it feels to be on a board out on the open water. Finally, we will visit the must-see archaeological sites that aren't to be missed before leaving the island, the town and the Acropolis of Lindos.
