    Münchner Klaviersommer: Bobby McFerrin

    'Münchner Klaviersommer' was an annual concerts series that took place from 1981 to 1998 in Munich, Germany. Although the festival's name suggests a strong focus on piano music, it featured countless famous musicians from jazz and classical music - not just pianists. The concerts were usually held in July at The Gasteig, home of the Munich Philharmonic. In 1988, vocalist Bobby McFerrin appeared at the festival.

    Spanish jazz singer and trumpeter Andrea Motis has been playing the trumpet and saxophone since her early childhood. After six albums in collaboration with bassist Joan Chamorro, Motis released her first solo album 'Emotional Dance' on Impulse! Records in 2017. In this concert from Jazz Club Moods in Zurich, Switzerland, Motis is accompanied by Joan Chamorro (bass), Josep Traver (guitar), Ignasi Terraza (piano), and Esteve Pi (drums). She demonstrates her mesmerising trumpet style and her inimitable vocals in no less than three languages: English, Catalan, and Portuguese.
