    Stravinsky: Symphony of Psalms

    This live from performance from 2017 marks Fabio Luisi's very first concert with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra in DR Koncerthuset, Copenhagen. Beethoven's fantastic Eroica symphony is a milestone in classical music, and with Stravinsky's mighty Symphony of Psalms and Strauss' virtuosic Don Juan, this production fully demonstrates the unique chemistry between Fabio Luisi and the orchestra of which he today is the celebrated Chief Conductor.

    Karl Jenkins: The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace

    Karl Jenkins' `The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace' will be performed in New York today as part of a series of events to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. This performance was recorded at Cardiff's St David's Hall as part of the composer's 60th birthday celebrations. Conducted by the composer himself, it features the Welsh National Opera orchestra, four choirs and various solos.

    Beethoven

    Fidelio (originally titled Leonore, oder Der Triumph der ehelichen Liebe, which translates to Leonore, or The Triumph of Marital Love), Op. 72, is Ludwig van Beethoven's only opera. This 2018 opera film from the Swiss Theater St. Gallen is based on Jan Schmidt-Garre's highly acclaimed stage production of Beethoven's Fidelio. Otto Tausk conducts the Sinfonieorchester and choir of St. Gallen, as well as many wonderful soloists in a beautifully designed set by Nikolaus Webern.

    Schumann: Symphonic Etudes, Op. 13

    Schwartz presents Schumann's Symphonic Etudes, Op 13. Composed between 1834-37, the work began as a theme and a set of sixteen variations. The theme had been composed by Baron von Fricken, an amateur musician and father of Ernestine von Fricken.
